Dr. Arielle Herndobler
Dr. Arielle Herndobler has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 10 years. In addition to her general veterinary practice, she has additional certifications in acupuncture, spinal manipulation (chiropractic) and physical rehabilitation. Over the course of her career, she has worked as a general practitioner, spay/neuter surgeon in a shelter practice and more recently as a practitioner of integrative medicine. During the time she has been a veterinarian, she has had the opportunity combine her love of travel with animal care by traveling to Belize to care for manatees and primates in a sanctuary as well spending time at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand.
From the time she was a little girl she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian and even attended high school at the only farm in the City of Chicago! Fun fact – she was an FFA member and cared for farm animals in high school. She loves all creatures big and small, but has decided to focus on dogs and cats and has a special interest in geriatric pets. As an individual, she is very focused on her personal health and wellness and understands how the stress of everyday living, diet, and activity can impact overall health. Over the many years practicing holistic medicine, she has learned that many of the same things hold true for animals. Our pets undergo stress and are athletes in their own way and deserve the same level of care. She is excited to teach owners how to help their pets achieve optimal health.
She shares her home with her two dogs, a Maltese mix named Louie and a Bichon named Fendi. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her dogs and family, travel, run and workout (she has completed 8 half marathons and 2 triathlons). Recently she got engaged and has discovered a new past time of wedding planning. She looks forward to working with your pets.
Take a look around!
We are proud of the calm, relaxed environment our clinic maintains to help your pets heal.
